callin' the cops is sometimes fucked up

this is a screen shot of a facebook conversation i had after interacting, yet again, with the police..happy freaking labor day ya'll

what a crazy night this was...and to think cops are there to "protect" you..but in reality, sometimes they dont always have your best interest in mind especially when they're out for answers to crimes they have to write a report for..maybe they should learn to actually listen..

in one night i went from being an anonymous caller..to getting questioned inside my apartment at the scene of the crime (with the suspect and victim detained right outside, literally 10 feet away)..to being a full fledged witness...fuck.

let's hope these busters don't retaliate against me...

so i stayed up last night talking to a relatively new acquaintance/friend/business partner/dude in my life for a couple of hours (yeah, like that high school shit)..im not gonna lie i was lightweight crushin' on this foo for a couple weeks now..and after our first late night, all night phone convo a few weeks ago, i seriously thought it was just sexual tension but after last night, i have to say that i actually care to know more about what he's actually about, his struggles, his triumphs, his past, his present and what he wants to do in the future. hah, go figure..

and so this morning i woke up (not so tired, surprisingly) full of thoughts, questions, reflections and inflections from our conversation but this def poet piece by gemineye really stuck with me..and got me thinkin' about my current (keyword: current) ability and/or inability to connect on a much more deeper level with the new people in my life..and more specifically the men in my life..
